There is indeed such thing as an allergy. Poisonous chemicals are toxic items, and inappropriate foods would not technically be considered a food item. An allergy is an immunodeficiency where your immune system turns against a harmless item. An allergy is technically an incurable disease.
Take my friend’s peanut allergy, persay. A peanut is not an inappropriate food, nor toxic. I’m not allergic to peanuts, which tells me that peanuts are fine.
For someone who has a peanut allergy, a peanut is an inappropriate food, but for the rest of us, it is perfectly fine to eat.
